Subselecting
an image by color
The
color range commands makes it easy to "subselect" by
color criteria. The key to subselecting a color is that it Color
Range makes it selections within the current selection.
(A)
To make a kind of selection, use the selection tool to surround
the generl area you want to change.
(B)Then
choose select, color range; choose the appropriate color from
the color list or make a selection with help of dropper and click
OK.
(C)The dialog closes and "The marching ants" show the
selection. Press Ctrl H to hide the selection so you can see what
you are doing. Then use Image,Adjust, Variations or Hue/Saturation
to adjust the color (C).
