Oracle 8i connection problems on XP pro
Oracle 8i seems to work fine on XP pro just after installation. After restarting the computer you get an error "Oracle - Not Available". I am not sure why it happens but this is how you can fix it.
GO TO THE "svrmgrl" file (in a 'BIN' file - do a search for files if not sure where it is). Double-click on it and a dos_style prompt will open. Type "connect internal" (without the quotes!) and press enter. Then type "startup open". Then wait a short while and the database will be opened. You will then be able to connect to sql, etc without getting this error. It is a good idea to copy this file onto your desktop as a shortcut so that when you boot/restart you can access it straight away. I hope it helps.

Non
verbal Communication :

Our bodies are rarely still. Our feet, hands, eyes and heads are moving all the time. Our expressions change.
